Description
This is a manual toothbrush for children aged three to five years, with soft filaments and a small head sized for a child’s mouth. Children of this age brush twice a day for two minutes, with a pea sized amount of fluoride toothpaste of the strength recommended for their age, and they still need an adult to brush for them or to go over the teeth afterwards, because the coordination for thorough brushing takes years to develop.
Encourage the child to spit out and not rinse. Replace the brush every three months, or sooner if the filaments splay, and after an illness. A dentist can check brushing technique at routine appointments.
