Description
Balneum Cream is an emollient for dry, rough and itchy skin, including skin affected by eczema and psoriasis. Emollients add oil and water to the outer layer of skin and slow the rate at which water is lost from it, which is why they are used every day rather than only during a flare. It is smoothed on in the direction the hair grows, as often as the skin needs it, and more is used on areas that dry out quickly such as hands, shins and elbows.
It can also be used in place of soap. Emollient soaks into clothing, bedding and dressings, and fabric carrying that residue catches fire much more easily, so keep away from naked flames, lit cigarettes and other heat, and wash fabrics often.
