Description
An alcohol free mouthwash for people with a dry mouth. Alcohol has a drying effect, so a mouthwash intended for this use is formulated without it, and this one has a mild mint flavour rather than a strong one. Rinse the amount stated on the pack around the mouth for the stated time, then spit it out; it is not swallowed and is not diluted.
It can be used several times a day, and many people find it most useful last thing at night and on waking, when a dry mouth is often worst. Dry mouth that is new, persistent or troublesome is worth discussing with a pharmacist, dentist or prescriber, since a medicine may be contributing to it.
