Description
Calpol Infant Suspension is a paracetamol liquid for babies and young children, in the original strawberry-flavoured formulation. Paracetamol relieves pain and reduces a raised temperature, and is used for teething, headache, sore throat, earache, the aches that follow immunisation and the discomfort of colds and flu. Shake the bottle and measure each dose with the syringe or spoon supplied rather than a kitchen spoon, following the dose given for the child’s age on the pack.
Doses are given no more often than every four hours, with no more than four doses in twenty-four hours. Do not give it alongside any other medicine containing paracetamol, as it appears in many cold and pain remedies. Speak to a pharmacist or doctor if the child is below the age stated on the pack, if a fever lasts more than three days, or if the child seems very unwell.
