Durex Extra Safe condoms are made from natural rubber latex, are thicker than the standard product in the range, and carry extra lubricant. They are for people who prefer a more substantial condom. Used correctly a condom is a barrier method of contraception that also reduces the risk of passing on a sexually transmitted infection.
Check the expiry date on the foil, open the foil by hand rather than with teeth or scissors, and use a new condom for each act of intercourse. Oil based products damage latex, so avoid body oils, petroleum jelly, lotions and oil based lubricants; a water based lubricant is the usual choice. Anyone sensitive to natural rubber latex should use a latex free alternative. Supplied as 12 condoms.
