Description
Johnson’s Baby Lotion is a light moisturising lotion for a baby’s skin, used after a bath or at a nappy change. It is thinner than a cream, so it spreads easily over a large area and absorbs quickly, which makes it convenient for massage after bathing. Warm a little in your hands, then smooth it over the skin, avoiding the eyes and any broken or weeping areas.
Newborn skin loses water quickly and is thinner than adult skin, so plain, unfragranced products are usually the first choice, and any product should be stopped if the skin becomes red or irritated. For persistent dryness, or for eczema, an emollient recommended by a pharmacist, health visitor or GP is more appropriate than a general baby lotion.
