Description
The Nicorette Inhalator is a nicotine replacement therapy made up of a plastic mouthpiece and a replaceable cartridge holding nicotine. Air drawn through the mouthpiece carries nicotine vapour into the mouth, where it is absorbed through the lining rather than into the lungs. It is used when a craving is felt, and the hand to mouth action is closer to the habit of smoking than other forms of nicotine replacement, which some people find helpful.
A cartridge is used across a number of sessions and is then replaced. The number of cartridges used each day is reduced as the course goes on, following the leaflet. Tell a pharmacist if you have heart or circulatory disease, asthma or other breathing problems, diabetes, stomach ulcers, or kidney or liver problems, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
