Description
Rennie Peppermint is a chewable antacid tablet containing calcium carbonate with magnesium carbonate. Antacids neutralise acid that is already in the stomach, which is why they act on symptoms that are present rather than preventing later ones. It is licensed for heartburn, acid indigestion, dyspepsia and an acid stomach, including symptoms in pregnancy where the pack allows it.
Tablets are sucked or chewed rather than swallowed whole, taken when symptoms occur, without exceeding the number of tablets in 24 hours given on the pack. Leave about two hours between these tablets and other medicines, because antacids reduce the absorption of several of them, including some antibiotics and iron. Tell a pharmacist or doctor about symptoms that last more than two weeks, difficulty or pain on swallowing, vomiting, or unintended weight loss. This pack contains 72 tablets.
