Description
Stugeron 15mg tablets contain cinnarizine, an antihistamine that also acts on the balance organs of the inner ear. It is used to prevent and relieve travel sickness, and for the nausea, vertigo and ringing in the ears caused by some inner ear disorders. For travel, the first dose is taken a couple of hours before the journey and further doses are taken at intervals during a long journey, as set out in the leaflet; taking the first dose in good time works better than waiting until sickness has started.
Cinnarizine commonly causes drowsiness, so do not drive or use machinery until you know how it affects you, and avoid alcohol. It is not suitable for people with Parkinson’s disease, and it can cause or worsen movement problems, particularly in older people. Speak to the pharmacist if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you take any medicine that makes you sleepy.
