Tablets containing turmeric, supplied in a pack of 30. Turmeric, Curcuma longa, is a rhizome long used as a culinary spice, and supplements are usually based on an extract standardised to its curcuminoid content. Some formulations combine the extract with another ingredient intended to affect how it is absorbed, and what this product contains is set out on the pack.
Tablets are taken as directed, generally with food and swallowed whole with water. No claim of benefit is made here. Turmeric supplements are not recommended for everyone, and anyone taking regular medicines, particularly anticoagulants, or who has gallbladder or liver problems, should ask a pharmacist first.
