Description
Zerolatum Emollient Bath Additive is a paraffin based bath oil for dry skin conditions including eczema, dermatitis and ichthyosis. A measured amount is stirred into a warm bath, where it spreads into a film that coats the skin as the bath is drained. It replaces soap and bubble bath, which strip oil from skin that has too little already.
A bath additive is not a substitute for a leave on emollient, which is still applied afterwards, ideally while the skin is slightly damp. Bath oil makes the bath and the floor very slippery, so take care getting in and out, supervise children, and clean the bath afterwards. Paraffin also soaks into towels, nightwear and bedding and makes them catch fire far more easily.
