Description
Anusol Cream is used for the symptoms of haemorrhoids, also called piles, and for anal itching and related soreness. It is astringent and protective, soothing irritated tissue and forming a protective layer over it. A small amount is applied to the affected area after washing and drying, generally at night, in the morning and after a bowel movement, following the leaflet.
Where the pack includes an applicator, it may also be used inside the back passage; the applicator is washed and dried after each use. Wash your hands before and after applying. Treatment is short term, and if symptoms have not settled after seven days a pharmacist or doctor should be asked. Bleeding from the back passage, severe pain or a lasting change in bowel habit needs medical assessment.
