Description
Calpol Infant Suspension Sugar Free contains paracetamol 120mg in each 5ml, and this pack supplies it as 12 single dose sachets rather than a bottle, which makes a measured dose easier to carry and to give away from home. Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic, used in infants and young children for fever, including fever after immunisation, and for pain such as teething, earache, sore throat and the aches of a cold.
The dose depends on the child’s age, so read the pack and give only the number of doses stated, leaving at least four hours between them and no more than four doses in 24 hours. Do not give any other medicine containing paracetamol at the same time. Seek medical advice if a fever lasts more than three days, if the child seems unwell, or if more than the stated dose has been taken.
