Description
A cherry flavoured lip balm in a twist-up stick, used on dry, chapped or exposed lips. It is applied as often as needed and again after eating, drinking, or time outdoors in cold or wind. Lip skin is thin and has no oil glands of its own, so it dries quickly; a balm works by leaving a film that slows water loss rather than by adding moisture.
Frequent licking makes chapping worse and is worth avoiding, and a flavoured balm can encourage it in children. Lips that stay sore or cracked despite regular use, or that split at the corners of the mouth, are worth showing to a pharmacist, because the cause may be something other than dryness.
