Description
These are hydrocolloid plasters shaped for the places heeled shoes tend to rub, mainly the back of the heel and the ball of the foot. The hydrocolloid layer is a soft gel that cushions the sore area and holds moisture against it, which is the environment in which a blister settles most comfortably. The plaster is designed to stay in place for several days, including through washing, and to loosen at its edges by itself when it is ready to come away.
Apply to clean, dry skin, press and warm it for a few seconds with the fingers to help it seal, then leave it alone rather than lifting it to look. Do not apply it to skin that is infected. If the area becomes more painful, red or swollen, have it looked at.
