Description
Diprosalic Scalp Application contains betamethasone dipropionate, a potent corticosteroid, with salicylic acid, which softens and lifts scale. The liquid is made for the scalp, where thick scale can stop a steroid reaching the inflamed skin beneath, and it is used for scaly scalp conditions such as psoriasis. Part the hair, apply a few drops to the affected areas and rub in gently, usually twice a day.
The base contains alcohol, so it stings on broken or scratched skin, it is flammable, and it must be kept away from the eyes, from naked flames and from cigarettes until the hair is dry. Both ingredients are absorbed through the skin, so long courses and treatment of large areas are avoided. Tell your prescriber if the scalp becomes more inflamed or infected, or if you notice ringing in the ears or sickness during treatment.
