Description
Full Marks Solution is applied to dry hair to treat a confirmed head lice infestation. It acts physically rather than as an insecticide, coating the lice and disrupting their ability to manage water, so they cannot survive. Because the action is physical, lice do not build resistance to it as they can to insecticides. The solution is worked through dry hair so the scalp and full length are covered, left in place for the time stated on the pack, then washed out.
Treatment is only for confirmed live lice, not as a precaution, and a repeat application after the stated interval is usually needed to deal with any lice that hatch from eggs after the first treatment.
