Description
Imodium Dual Action tablets combine two medicines: loperamide, an antimotility agent that slows the movement of the bowel so that more water is absorbed and stools become firmer, and simeticone, an antiflatulent that breaks up trapped gas. The combination is licensed for short term relief of acute diarrhoea when it comes with bloating, cramping and wind.
Tablets are taken by mouth with water, with the first dose followed by further doses after loose stools, up to the daily maximum printed on the pack. Drink plenty of fluid, because diarrhoea causes fluid loss. Do not take it for more than the number of days stated on the pack without advice. It is not suitable if there is blood in the stool or a high fever, or in certain bowel conditions. This pack contains six tablets.
