Listerine Advanced White is a 500ml daily mouthwash aimed at surface staining as well as everyday freshness. A whitening mouthwash works on stain that has settled on the enamel surface. It does not bleach teeth, does not change their natural shade, and has no effect on a crown, veneer or filling. It is used as an addition to brushing rather than a replacement, since a rinse cannot remove plaque from the tooth surface.
Measure the amount stated on the pack, rinse for the stated time, then spit out. It is not swallowed and not diluted. Anyone whose staining appeared suddenly, or affects a single tooth, should see a dentist rather than treat it at home.
