Description
A 200ml sun protection lotion for children with a sun protection factor of 50. It is smoothed evenly over all exposed skin before going out, including the ears, the backs of the knees and the tops of the feet, which are easily missed. The stated factor is only reached at the tested amount, so a generous layer matters, and it needs reapplying regularly, particularly after swimming, towel drying or sweating.
SPF describes protection against UVB, the part of sunlight mainly responsible for burning, so check the pack for the circled UVA mark, which shows UVA protection alongside it. Sun protection is one part of sun safety rather than all of it, and babies under six months are kept out of direct sun rather than relying on sun cream.
