Description
Nitty Gritty NitFree Comb is a fine toothed comb for detecting and removing head lice and eggs, a single comb. The teeth are set close enough together to catch lice and eggs that an ordinary comb passes over. Combing is done on wet hair with plenty of conditioner, which stops lice moving, working section by section from the scalp outward and wiping the comb on a tissue after each stroke to see what has been removed.
Detection combing is how an infestation is confirmed before any treatment is bought, and how treatment is checked afterwards. Wet combing repeated every few days over a couple of weeks is also a treatment in its own right, without any product.
