Description
Twenty four clear plasters for minor cuts and grazes. The transparent backing sits less obviously on visible skin than a fabric plaster, and it lets the skin around the pad be seen without lifting the dressing, which is useful when watching for redness spreading out from a wound. Clean the wound, dry the skin all round, then apply the plaster with the pad over the wound and the adhesive on undamaged skin, smoothing the border flat.
Because a film backing breathes less than a woven one, change the plaster at least once a day and let the skin dry before the next one. Replace it sooner if it lifts or becomes wet through. Increasing pain, spreading redness or discharge means the wound should be assessed.
