Description
This is a 10ml bottle of eucalyptus oil, used as an aromatic inhalant. The single active ingredient is eucalyptus oil, and its role is to give off a vapour that produces a sensation of clearer breathing when the nose is blocked with a cold or with catarrh. It does not treat the infection and it does not shorten a cold.
It is used by inhalation and is not swallowed. A few drops are put on a tissue or handkerchief and breathed in, or added to a bowl of hot water so the vapour can be inhaled, or sprinkled on bedding at night. Hot water scalds, so keep the bowl on a stable surface and well away from children. Keep the oil away from the eyes and off broken skin.
It is harmful if swallowed, so keep the bottle out of reach of children. Tell a pharmacist if you have asthma, because strong vapours can trigger symptoms in some people.
