Description
Ricola Bracing Glacier Peppermint are peppermint flavoured lozenges made in Switzerland with the manufacturer’s blend of alpine herbs, supplied in a 45g bag. They are sold as confectionery, not as a licensed medicine, so they are not a treatment for a cough or a throat infection. A lozenge is sucked slowly and allowed to dissolve, which keeps the mouth moist and gives a strong peppermint sensation that many people find refreshing when the nose feels blocked.
There is no medicinal dose; the sensible limit is simply not to eat a large number in a day. Whole lozenges are a choking risk for young children. If a sore throat, a cough or a blocked nose lasts more than about a week, or comes with a fever, breathlessness or trouble swallowing, speak to a pharmacist or a doctor.
