Description
Salactol Wart Paint contains salicylic acid and lactic acid in a collodion base, and is used for common warts, verrucas, corns and calluses. The acids break down the hard, virus-infected layers of skin so that the wart can be worn away over time. Once a day, usually at bedtime, soak the area in warm water for a few minutes, dry it, rub the surface with an emery board or pumice stone, then apply the paint to the wart alone with the brush supplied and let it dry.
A little petroleum jelly on the skin around the wart helps protect it. Treatment often takes several weeks and works only if it is done consistently. The paint is flammable, so keep it away from flames and replace the cap after use. Do not apply it to the face or genital area, or to moles.
