Description
Sterimar Baby is a sea water based nasal spray in a 50ml can, designed for infants and young children, with a nozzle shaped for a small nose and a gentler spray than the adult versions. Babies breathe mainly through the nose, so a blocked nose can make feeding and sleeping difficult. The spray works mechanically by loosening and washing out mucus and moistening the lining of the nose, and it contains no decongestant, antihistamine or steroid.
Lay or hold the child with the head turned to one side, spray briefly into the upper nostril as the pack directs, then wipe or gently clear the nose and repeat on the other side. Use one can for one child only. Seek advice if a baby is feeding poorly, feverish or breathing quickly.
