Description
Thealoz Duo is a preservative free lubricating eye drop in a 10ml multidose bottle, containing trehalose together with sodium hyaluronate. The hyaluronate holds water on the surface of the eye and the trehalose is included to protect the surface cells, so the combination is generally used for dry eye that is more than occasional.
Instil one drop into the affected eye as needed, keeping the tip clear of the eye and lashes. Because the bottle uses a filter system rather than a preservative, note the date of opening and discard at the end of the in-use period printed on the pack. Persistent dryness deserves an eye examination, and eye pain, light sensitivity or any change in vision needs assessment rather than more drops.
