Description
Vesomni is a combination tablet containing solifenacin 6mg, an antimuscarinic, and tamsulosin 0.4mg, an alpha blocker. It is licensed for men with an enlarged prostate who have both storage symptoms, such as urgency and passing urine often, and voiding symptoms, such as a weak or hesitant stream. The modified-release tablet is swallowed whole with water once a day, with or without food, and is not chewed or crushed.
Dizziness and light-headedness on standing can occur, particularly at the start. Dry mouth, constipation and blurred vision are also reported. If you are having cataract or glaucoma surgery, tell your eye surgeon that you take tamsulosin, because it can affect the iris during the operation. It is not suitable if you have urinary retention, severe liver problems, uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma or myasthenia gravis.
