Description
Carnation Corn Caps are medicated plasters for the treatment of corns, in a pack of five. Each cap carries a small disc containing salicylic acid, a keratolytic that softens and breaks down the thickened, hardened skin of a corn so that it gradually lifts away. The disc is positioned directly over the corn and held in place by the surrounding plaster, which keeps the medicated part off the healthy skin around it.
The cap is left in place and changed as the leaflet directs, and the softened skin can be eased away between applications. Corn caps are not for use on broken, inflamed or infected skin, on moles or birthmarks, or by anyone with diabetes, poor circulation or reduced sensation in the feet. See a pharmacist or a podiatrist if the corn is painful, if it becomes red or discharges, or if it has not improved by the end of the course.
