Description
Clenil Modulite contains beclometasone dipropionate, an inhaled corticosteroid used as a preventer in asthma. Taken every day, it reduces the swelling and irritation in the airways that make symptoms and attacks more likely, and it works gradually rather than in the moment. It is not a reliever and will not ease sudden wheeze or breathlessness; keep a short-acting reliever inhaler for that.
The beclometasone in Clenil Modulite is not extrafine, so the dose is not interchangeable with extrafine beclometasone inhalers; brands should be prescribed and supplied by name, and you should check the strength on the canister when you collect a new supply. Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after each dose to lower the chance of oral thrush and a hoarse voice.
Contact your prescriber if your symptoms worsen or your reliever is needed more often.
