Description
EasyChamber is a spacer, a holding chamber used with a pressurised metered dose inhaler. The inhaler fits into one end and the chamber holds the puff of medicine for a few seconds, so it can be breathed in steadily instead of having to coordinate pressing and breathing at the same moment. Used properly, a spacer helps more of the dose reach the lungs and less of it land in the mouth and throat.
Fire one puff at a time into the chamber and breathe in straight away, either with a slow deep breath and a hold, or with several normal breaths. Rinse the mouth afterwards if the inhaler contains a steroid. Wash the chamber in warm soapy water, then let it drip dry rather than rubbing it dry.
