Description
Flexitol Heel Balm is a concentrated urea balm for very dry, rough or cracked heels. Urea works in two ways at a high concentration: it draws water into the outer layer of the skin, and it loosens the bonds between hardened surface cells so that thickened skin softens and gradually comes away. Apply a small amount to the heel and rub it in fully, usually twice a day, morning and night.
Cracks and roughness generally improve over days rather than immediately, so it is used continuously rather than only when the skin is at its worst. Urea can sting on an open crack, and the balm should be kept out of the eyes. If a crack is deep, bleeding or painful, or if you have diabetes, have the heel looked at rather than treating it at home.
