Head & Shoulders Citrus Fresh Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is a 250ml shampoo for flaking and itching of the scalp. It is massaged into wet hair and worked onto the scalp itself rather than only the lengths, since the scalp is where flaking starts, then left in place for a short time before rinsing. Dandruff shampoos work while they are in contact with the skin, so leaving the lather on for a minute or two before rinsing makes a difference.
Regular use is usually needed to keep flaking under control, and it commonly returns if the shampoo is stopped. A scalp that is sore, weeping, bleeding or losing hair in patches needs assessment rather than continued self treatment.
