Description
White petroleum jelly in a 100ml jar, used as a simple occlusive on dry skin and lips. It contains no water and adds no moisture of its own; it works by forming a barrier that slows water loss from the skin underneath, which is why it is usually applied after washing while the skin is still slightly damp. It is also used to protect skin from chafing and from getting wet, for example around a child’s nose during a cold.
Apply a thin layer with a clean fingertip and keep the jar clean by taking product with clean hands or a spatula. It damages latex, so keep it away from condoms and other latex products, and it is not for use on wounds or burns.
