Description
Vicks VapoDrops Lemon and Menthol are lemon flavoured menthol lozenges in a 72g pack. They are sold as confectionery rather than as a licensed medicine, so they are not a treatment for a cough, a cold or a throat infection. A lozenge is sucked slowly and allowed to dissolve; the menthol gives a cooling sensation in the mouth and throat and a vapour that is noticeable at the back of the nose, and sucking itself keeps the mouth moist.
They are taken one at a time rather than to a dose, and it is worth not working through a large number in one day. Whole lozenges are a choking risk for young children. See a pharmacist about a cough that has not settled after about three weeks, or a sore throat with a high fever or difficulty swallowing.
