PreserVision is a food supplement supplied as 120 tablets, built on the vitamin and mineral combination used in the Age-Related Eye Disease Study. The nutrient levels are high, well above those in an ordinary multivitamin, which is why the pack sets a specific daily dose and why another multivitamin or antioxidant supplement should not be added without checking first.
Take the tablets as directed, with food. Some formulations of this type contain beta carotene, which is not recommended for smokers or recent ex-smokers, so speak to a pharmacist before starting if that applies to you. A supplement is not a treatment for any eye condition; eye appointments still matter and any change in vision needs reporting rather than waiting.
