Description
Salatac Gel contains salicylic acid and lactic acid in a quick-drying base, and is used to treat common warts, verrucas, corns and calluses. The acids soften and gradually break down the thickened, virus-infected skin so that it can be removed layer by layer. It is applied once a day, usually at night: soak the area in warm water, dry it, rub the surface gently with the emery board supplied, then paint the gel over the wart and let it dry to a film, which is peeled away before the next application.
Protect the skin around it, because the acid affects normal skin as well. Treatment is slow and can take several weeks. Do not use it on the face, on moles or birthmarks, or on the genital area. Speak to the pharmacist first if you have diabetes or poor circulation in the feet.
