Stud 100

Description

Stud 100 is a spray containing lidocaine 9.6%, a local anaesthetic. Applied to the skin of the penis it reduces sensation, with the aim of delaying ejaculation. A small number of sprays is applied a short time before intercourse, following the instruction on the pack, which also explains whether the spray should be wiped or washed off beforehand; without that step the anaesthetic can numb a partner as well.

Use the fewest sprays that help, and do not apply it to broken or irritated skin. It is not a contraceptive and gives no protection against sexually transmitted infections. Speak to the pharmacist if you or your partner have reacted to a local anaesthetic before, if you use condoms and are unsure whether the spray affects them, or if premature ejaculation is new, distressing, or comes with other symptoms, since that should be assessed rather than treated blind.
