Description
Viagra Connect contains sildenafil 50mg and is a pharmacy medicine for erectile dysfunction in adult men. Sildenafil is a PDE5 inhibitor. It relaxes the blood vessels in the penis so more blood can flow in during sexual arousal; sexual stimulation is still needed for it to work. One tablet is taken with water about an hour before sexual activity, and no more than one tablet should be taken in 24 hours.
A heavy or fatty meal can delay the effect. Sildenafil must never be taken with nitrates such as glyceryl trinitrate or isosorbide, or with nicorandil, because together they can cause a dangerous fall in blood pressure. It is not suitable if you have certain heart conditions, severe liver disease, low blood pressure, or have had a recent stroke.
Headache, flushing, indigestion and a blocked nose are the most common side effects. The pharmacist will check your suitability before supply.
